Working with people
Working with people is a career that is truly rewarding and working in health and care is one the most essential services in our society both today and in the future. Taking care of the old, the sick, the injured or helping people to stay fit takes a lot of responsibility and commitment and you will have to be able to put theoretical knowledge in to practical use.

After three years at Consensum student can either move on to jobs as assistant nurse, in psychiatric care or in geriatric care. Students can also choose to further their studies at university level.

Compassion and understanding
Regardless of which path students choose within health care, meeting people and knowing what they do for them can lead to their lives being more active and meaningful is always at the heart of things. Students will work in an organisation where the efforts mean something both to them personally and to the people they meet in every day life. It is therefore important that students are made aware of the factors that create quality of life and how they need to adapt to each individual they meet.

At Consensum EQ is as important as IQ and we emphasize emphaty, being able to picture yourself in someone else’s place and reflect on why people think and act they way they do. This way students are prepared not only to deal with care takers but also to function as a part of a work place team.
